Introduction

This blog is devoted to contemporary elucidations of and insights on piyyutim from late antiquity that incorporate interesting gender-ideas. We are beginning with Yannai's אם כיונה בחגוי סלע, but will hopefully go on to other piyyutim, both Yannai and non-Yannai.
